ONDEO DEGREMONT IS RENAMED INFILCO DEGREMONT TODAY
Richmond, Virginia — The U.S. affiliate of Degremont was renamed Infilco Degremont today in honor of its strong water treatment equipment heritage. The name Infilco originated from the International Filter Company of Chicago, founded in 1894, and has long been recognized by American environmental consulting engineers and treatment plant personnel for its industry expertise. In 2003, the company was granted the Frost & Sullivan Customer Recognition Award for Superior Technological Skills, Knowledge, & Product Innovation.
Infilco Degremont provides process technology solutions for both municipal and industrial treatment plants. Recent developments include technologies for biosolids incineration, UV disinfection, and high-rate clarification. “We are known across the U.S. for our emerging technologies, engineering excellence, and customer-driven solutions,” said Ilan Wilf, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Infilco Degremont. “Our return to the name Infilco Degremont is the perfect blend between our 100-year history and our global treatment expertise.”
Infilco joined forces with Paris-based Degremont in 1974. A worldwide water treatment specialist, Degremont has been associated with more water treatment plant projects than any other company.
Degremont is owned by SUEZ, an environmental leader with 2003 revenues of over $43 billion. SUEZ ENVIRONMENT is a SUEZ business line that provides equipment and services essential to life and protecting the environment: drinking water production and distribution, collection and treatment of wastewater, re-use and treatment of waste. Its three worldwide brands are Ondeo (water distribution services), Degremont (water treatment plant specialist ) and SITA (waste services).
