Whether installing treatment systems on American soil or foreign land, Infilco Degremont tailors our scope of supply and service to regional standards. Before doing business in a certain country, our personnel are trained in its regulatory, commercial, political and cultural nuances.

IRAQ
Experience
Throughout the 1970's and 1980's Infilco Degremont engineered and installed more water and wastewater treatment systems in Iraq than any other company. Since then we've continued to engineer and supply small water treatment systems in Iraq as part of the United Nations-sponsored Oil for Food program.

Institutional Knowledge
Infilco Degremont possesses in-depth institutional knowledge databases of Iraqi infrastructure: engineering specifications, design plans, as-builts and recent condition assessments. We conducted a detailed condition survey of more than 30 major water and wastewater facilities for a recent United Nations initiative.

Human Resources
In addition to our institutional knowledge, we offer the human resources necessary to deploy quickly and effectively to the region. Arabic-speaking Degremont personnel from the U.S, Spain, U.K., Jordan, and Turkey — all Coalition Partner and Force-Contributing Nations — are available on an as-needed basis. Technology transfer and O&M training of Iraqi workforces are available through our facilities in Jordan.

Turnkey Plants
To complement our custom treatment systems, we offer a compact water treatment system, the U.C.D. Package Plant, specifically for use in regions like Iraq. These plants are rapid, cost-effective solutions for small- to medium-sized communities.

JORDAN
Water Treatment
Infilco Degremont has been awarded a contract for treatment equipment to be installed in the 34 MGD Zara-Ma'in Water Treatment and Conveyance Project in Amman, Jordan. When completed the plant will provide approximately 40% of the water required for the people of Amman.

Wastewater Treatment
Infilco Degremont will join Morganti Construction to design and construct Jordan's Khirbet As Samra Wastewater Treatment Plant and to refurbish its Ain Ghazal Sewage Plant. The Khirbet As Samra plant has an average capacity of 268,000 m³/day and will treat the sewage of 2.5 million inhabitants in Amman and its surrounding areas.
